“Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.” (1 Timothy 4:12)
Gathering Opportunities
Worship Service (Sunday 9:00 and 10:30am) – Our Young Adults at Meadowbrooke Church are a crucial part of the Church and should be involved in all parts of it. We are at the age to be able to actively take our faith into our world and make an impact. No longer children, it is our time to go and do! Hebrews 10:24-25 tells us “And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” It is crucial for all of us as believers to be part of the building up, spurring on, fellowship, service and unity of the Church in its entirety. A LIFE group is not a replacement for this, but rather a supplement.
Young Adults LIFE Group (Tuesday 6:00pm)
Where: Room 6 in Meadowbrooke Church
What: Our night starts by sharing a meal together, talking about life, and encouraging each other in life and faithfulness. We then work through scripture together as we unpack God’s truth for our lives. This is a great opportunity to make meaningful friendships and find people to encourage you in your walk with the Lord, as we do life together and faithfully seek the truth of scripture.
Activities and Events: We have an annual young adults retreat sometime in the spring. Most in our group also find various opportunities to spend time together outside of Tuesday nights. On occasion, we meet up at the movies, play games on the weekend, etc. Part of being in a LIFE group is doing life together, and a wonderful way to do that is by spending time together so we can encourage each other and lift each other up. “Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.” (1 Thessalonians 5:11)
