This Sunday, I will be preaching the final sermon in our series, The Tree. Together, we will look at the tree upon which Jesus became a curse in our place—for our salvation and redemption (Gal. 3:10–14).

Then, starting on January 18, we will begin a new journey focusing on the risen and reigning Christ, as revealed in Revelation 1:4–8. This marks the launch of our upcoming sermon series, Triumphant. In this series, we will explore how Jesus—alive forevermore—not only rules as the King of kings, but is also coming again in glory.

This Sunday’s sermon will serve as a linchpin—bringing together what we have been studying week by week and preparing us for what lies ahead. It is my prayer that it will help us see more clearly how the story that begins with a tree in Genesis moves through the cross and ultimately finds its fulfillment in the glory of Christ revealed in Revelation.

One of the songs we will sing together is “Before the Throne of God Above.” You may be familiar with these lines, which beautifully celebrate what Jesus accomplished on the cursed tree:

Behold Him there, the risen Lamb,
My perfect, spotless righteousness,
The great unchangeable I AM,
The King of glory and of grace.

One with Himself I cannot die;
My soul is purchased by His blood.
My life is hid with Christ on high,
With Christ, my Savior and my God.

I look forward to worshiping with you as we celebrate the risen Lamb and all that He has accomplished for our salvation and redemption.

I hope to see you this Sunday at our 9:00 or 11:00 AM worship services.

Grace,
Keith
