Good Morning Meadowbrooke! |
Well, we are at the halfway point of Ephesians and what better passage to preach on Mothers Day than Ephesians 3:20-21! Think about Pauls great doxological conclusion to the first half of Ephesians and his description of all that it means to be a Christian: Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.
In light of all that we have discovered and been reminded of throughout our time in Ephesians so far, maybe you have asked the question: Did God go too far? Did God go too far by choosing the Christian before the foundation of the world (Eph. 1:4)? Is God the victim of a poor investment because he chose me before the foundation of the world for, good works, which God prepared beforehand (2:10)? I dont know if you have ever asked questions like these, but if Ephesians 3:20-21 teaches us anything, it is this: God is not limited because He is infinitely sovereign, and because He is infinitely sovereign, He does not invest poorly. God is He who, is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us for His glory and our good.
I look forward to worshiping with you this Sunday as we will plunge the depths of the majestic beauty of Ephesians 3:20-21 together this Sunday during our 9:00am and 10:30am worship services.
