Happy Friday Meadowbrooke Family! |
The Elder Board is excited to announce that Dillan Adams has accepted the role of Worship and Discipleship {Pastor/Leader}. During our regularly scheduled meeting this past Wednesday, the Board unanimously voted to recommend Dillan be hired to fill this pivotal role. Dillan has faithfully led the music part of Meadowbrooke's worship services for the past few months. During this time, witnessing how the worship team has come together and how our congregation is singing praises to our God and Lord loudly and boldly under Dillan's leadership has confirmed the recommendation of the Search Committee. As we presented during the Biannual Congregational Meeting, the Elder Board appointed this Committee to lead the initial search process and make a recommendation to the Board. As planned, the job posting remained accessible to potential applicants for a month. To be considered, an applicant was requested to submit a statement of faith and worship music samples during a church service. Based on Dillan's experience, alignment with Christian doctrine, and ability to build and lead a team, the Search Committee unanimously recommended Dillan to the Elder Board.
Based on the Committee's unanimous affirmation, the growth of our worship team and how Dillan and his wife, Becca, have become key members of our church family led the Elder Board to our unanimous decision. On this last point, I would like to elaborate. In addition to Dillan and Becca faithfully serving on our worship team, they have served in Meadowbrooke's Youth Ministry and have become an integral part of that team. Dillan and Becca have exemplified how we are all called to serve the Body of Christ. The selflessness and love that Dillan has given of his time and talents, along with how he has begun to rebuild our worship team, has made it apparent to the Elder Board that he is the person who is called to serve Meadowbrooke in this capacity.
I also want to thank the Search Committee for their service throughout this process. Frank Cook chaired the committee, which was selected to represent our congregation. The Committee members included Abby Brumbeloe, Sharon Catellier, Don Hollingshead, Mason Peebles, and Micah Pfaffe. They were central to this current hiring process and have helped us improve our hiring processes overall, which will have an impact for years to come.
In Christ Alone,
Ben McKay
