June 7th

I hope your week has been a good one so far!  Follow the above photo link to find our very first quarterly update newsletter! I also wanted to use this space I usually use for my weekly eLetter to share two very important events coming up very soon!

First, we have baptism Sunday coming up on June 23rd and it is looking like it may be one of the largest baptism services we have had in some time, so here is what we are planning: On June 23rd we will have a combined service at 9:00AM where we will have our normal worship service that will be followed by baptisms at 10:15 and a church-wide brunch immediately following our baptism service where we will hear a report about the Peru Missions Trip.  June 23rd also happens to be Pastor Wynn Hansens first Sunday as the Pastor of Worship and Discipleship.  

If you have not yet been baptized since the day you became a follower of Jesus, there is no better day to get baptized than June 23rd as an expression of your love and commitment to following Jesus.  June 23rd is going to be special, and you will not want to miss it!!!

Secondly, June 16th is Thomas and Lizs last Sunday.  A family in our congregation has generously provided the guitar won during our private fundraising auction for any and all of our church family to sign on the black portions of the guitar as a special way to express our love for Thomas and Liz and appreciation for the ways Thomas has served Meadowbrooke on staff this past year.  The guitar will be in room #5 with gold and white paint markers for you to sign the guitar in time for us to present the guitar to Thomas on June 16th.  - It's a surprise,
