Good Morning Meadowbrooke,

After a long and extensive interview process with Wynn Hansen and being in full support and agreement with the board of elders regarding Meadowbrooke's mission, vision, Statement of Faith, and Partnership Pathway, an offer to join the Meadowbrooke staff was officially extended to Wynn early this week.  I am happy to inform you that Wynn has accepted our offer and will officially be joining our staff-team as Pastor of Worship and Discipleship effective June 17th.

There are two scripture passages that God has used to comfort me through this process that has affirmed His providence in leading Thomas and Liz to Meadowbrooke for the short time they have been a part of our church family and my stumbling upon Wynns résumé 11AM on a Saturday morning the first week of April.  One of the passages you may have memorized since we started our Ephesians sermon series, and the other is tucked away in the Old Testament book of Isaiah:

Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen. (Eph. 3:2021)

Remember the former things long past, For I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is no one like Me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things which have not been done, Saying, My plan will be established, And I will accomplish all My good pleasure (Isa. 46:9-10)

In my opinion, Gods providence could not have been more perfect for reasons too numerous to share in this e-Letter. I am thankful for the ways God has used Thomas while on staff as I am grateful for the role many in our congregation have played in helping prepare both he and his wife for the next season of life that is before them.

Finding Wynn was much less difficult than I expected, and although there were other potential candidates who were interviewed, it was Wynn who was proven to be most qualified to help us move into the next season of ministry at Meadowbrooke.  During the search process, aside from assessing whether a potential candidate was spiritually qualified with the leadership capacity, talent, gifting, and skill level needed for the role we were seeking to fill, it was important to me that we find someone who could serve along side of me as a partner, colleague and friend in ministry; Wynn checks all of the above boxes.  To say that I am excited about Wynn coming on staff is an understatement for how I am feeling as I write this letter to you.

The 43 days that lead to Wynn and I praying in my office this past Sunday afternoon convinced God had brought us together was evidence of a God who, is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think (Eph. 3:20).  It is funny how God will use the small things to affirm the big things He is doing in our lives!  Wynns life passage that God has used throughout his life is Isaiah 43:1-5,

But now, this is what the Lord says, He who is your Creator, Jacob, And He who formed you, Israel: Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are Mine!  When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, nor will the flame burn you. For I am the Lord your God, The Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I have given Egypt as your ransom, Cush and Seba in exchange for you. Since you are precious in My sight, since you are honored and I love you, I will give other people in your place and other nations in exchange for your life. Do not fear, for I am with you; I will bring your offspring from the east, and gather you from the west.

Thank you for diligently praying over the process that has led to the hiring of Wynn!  I speak on behalf of myself, the board of elders, and our staff-team that we are confident that we have found the right man God has clearly called to serve our church family as the Pastor of Worship and Discipleship.

I look forward to seeing you and worshiping with you this Sunday in our 9:00 and 10:30AM.

Thanks,

Keith Miller
