Good Afternoon Meadowbrooke,

This Sunday morning we will begin our journey through Ephesians 6:10-18 on spiritual warfare and the armor of God.  The threat of sin within and among those who make up the Bride of Christ has existed since the beginning and the danger of wolves in sheeps clothing is something we are warned about throughout the Bible.  However, what we read in Ephesians 6:10-13 is that our struggle is also cosmic, spiritual, and demonic.

My hope and plan during our time in Ephesians 6:10-18 is to not only help you appreciate just how real our struggle is, but to offer you practical ways you can remain strong, stand against the schemes of the devil, and resist the spiritual forces of darkness by standing firm in your faith as a Christian.  As one way to prepare your heart and mind for this Sunday is for you to thoughtfully read Ephesians 6:10-13, and to do so today, tomorrow, and Sunday before you join us at Meadowbrooke for worship.  Reading a scripture passage thoughtfully is one way we can meditate upon the Word of God; it is a way to think carefully about what it is you are reading by allowing your heart to hear what Gods Word is saying to you.  You can read Ephesians 6:10-13 in your own Bible, but if you do not have your bible with you, why not start now: Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist on the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm (Eph. 6:10-13; NASB2020).

I look forward to seeing you in our 9 and 11AM worship services!  Please do not forget to check out the important announcements below!

Grace,
